To identify your unit, check the metal rating plate on the window frame edge or the door hinge jamb. The Series 1 plate reads “SP” followed by a four-digit code; Series 2 Milgard plates start with “TUS” and include a manufacture date. Jamb depth matters: Series 1 frames are 3-1/4 inches, while Series 2 frames are 4-9/16 inches.
